The creation of a "five star" category and a general up scaling of the French hospitality. The improvements are to be reached by including new criteria such as cleanliness and service quality, as well as for sustained economic growth.

• The new classification is based on voluntary work
• The cost will be charged to the professionals
• It will be assigned by specialized audit networks
• The allocation will be available for 5 years
• The hoteliers will have an extension of 3 years to set up a new grid

Besides a participating capital loan for the hotel industry renovation is accessible for the hotels who want to finance their modernization investment.
While the new regulations are in progress, the government has invited to tender. The government wants to design the firms which will supervise the steps leading to the obtaining of the 5th star.
